This is an "excellence" Research Project funded by the Junta de Andalucia, whose members are experts in History and Philosophy of Science based mainly in the University of Sevilla, although some members are based in the University of Granada and the CNRS in Paris. Its integrants work on the history of Medieval and Arabic science, history and philosophy of physics, history and philosophy of mathematics, and the methodology of engineering.


Of special interest is the senior researcher contract provided, in connection with this project, to Dr. Sonja Brentjes, who is a specialist in the exact and mathematical sciences within the Islamic or Arabic world.
