Objective
- The Proposal has both wider objectives and specific objectives. It must be noted that a special emphasis has been placed on achieving a coherent and comprehensive proposal that, at the same time, could be fully implemented in two years and at the same time within the constraints of the budget limit. The project will be successful, as other Tempus projects in the past.
- As wider objectives, the proposal wants to contribute to the efficiency of Belarus higher education institutions, by means of helping upgrading and reforming the university management structure:
- Promoting one «Centre of Excellence» in university managerial skills in the key cooperative sector in Belarus, with a know-how that can be used to strengthen university management and in turn enhance universities’ contribution to training.
- Establishing and furtherance of closer links between the University and the EU higher education system, contributing to the development of its international relations.
- Ensuring that the Belarus partner is ready to meet the changes imposed by the new situations, contributing to the reform of the higher education system in the partner country in a crucial sector of the economy.
- The specific objectives to be achieved within the duration of the project are:
- Defining BTEU Management Strategic Plan and once done, reinforcingand upgrading BTEU management structure, introducing European best practices, improving the University administrative and financial rules, setting up new administrative units and reshaping others.
- Training management staff at the University, transferring managerial skills, and providing them with customized materials for their courses, so that they can in turn train their own staff, as done at UdS and SAA.
- Setting a strong base so that the beneficiary institution itself once the project is over could in turn go out for a creation of a network for dissemination of knowledge in the region and in the NIS countries.
