1.- PRESENTATION

The mission of the Doctoral programme in “Strategic Management and International Business” – which has been granted the “International Citation of Excellence” from the Ministry of Education (MEE-2011-0244) – is to train researchers in the field of business management. The programme seeks to help its graduates to take complex international business management decisions and facilitate the development of an excellent academic career in universities and in prestigious business schools around the world.

 

1.1 Background of the programme

Doctoral programme in “Strategic Management and International Business” (RR 99/2011) The Doctoral programme in “Strategic Management and International Business” has the vast experience of education offered by the University of Seville. It received the International Citation of Excellence (MEE2011-0244 –STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS) in 2011, and since the 2005-2006 academic year, the Quality Citation (MCD2005-00248). The current programme has the same general structure as its predecessors, enriched by the incorporation of other research groups in the business area of the School of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Seville, with vast research experience.

 

1.2 Description of the Degree

Doctoral programme in “Strategic Management and International Business” by the University of Seville. The following areas of knowledge are included in its proposal: business organisation, marketing and market research, finance and accountancy. These three areas combine the study and analysis of business management and administration at the University of Seville, with special emphasis on international companies.

Duration of the Doctoral programme:

The Doctoral Programme in Strategic Management and International Business has both full-time (FT) and part-time (PT) students. The current economic situation and the general focus of the programme means that many current and potential students are business executives or managers who can only study part time. This is why the programme has a significant number of places for this type of student. Due to this, the programme is open to both full- and part-time students and considers the necessary time adjustments to adapt to the real capacity of students to fulfil the training requirements necessary for obtaining the doctorate.
