2.1 INFORMATION ON LINES OF RESEARCH:

The GENI Doctoral programme is organised into four lines of research, the themes of which are summarised below. All these focus on basic aspects of strategic management of companies and international businesses:

[dt_sc_toggle_framed title=”1º.- International Strategy Line of Research:”]This line addresses aspects of international strategic management, pivotal factors in business internationalisation, the study of different strategies for entering international markets (franchises, joint ventures, etc.) and the study of all the repercussions of internationalisation on businesses. This line corresponds to the following research teams and groups: SEJ 115; SEJ 140; SEJ 104, ECO-2017-84364-R, ECO2013-45329-R, ECO2009-12742; SEJ2006-14369; PO9-SEJ-4724, among others. This line consists of thirteen researchers (eleven national and two foreign). All the researchers in the line, with the exception of one non-public-official lecturer, have six-year research periods. The other researcher’s curriculum is more than adequate to recognise his research capacity. In recent years, the eleven lecturers at the University of Seville have presented more than 25 Doctoral theses for reading and have several more in the pipeline (a ratio of more than two theses per lecturer).

[dt_sc_toggle_framed title=”2º.- Information and Knowledge Management System Line of Research: “] This line explores analysis of information systems and technologies (IS, IT), topologies and advanced mechanisms of information systems: DSS, EIS, Data Warehouse, Data Mining, etc.; current information and knowledge methods and knowledge management systems (KMS) in international organisations. This line corresponds to the following research teams and groups: SEJ-115; SEJ 494; SEJ 6081; ECO2017-88499-P, ECO2013-43856-R, ECO2013-49352-EXP, ECO2011-28641; SEJ 5801; PO6-SEJ-01994 among others. This line consists of a total of eleven researchers (nine national and two foreign). All the researchers in the line have six-year research periods. In recent years, the nine lecturers at the University of Seville have presented more than thirty Doctoral theses for reading and have a further fifteen in the pipeline (a ratio of more than three theses per lecturer).

[dt_sc_toggle_framed title=”3º.- Market Strategies, value management (Customer Equity) and consumer behaviour in global markets Line of Research:”] This line focuses on the study of value creation in international organisations, analysing the updated value of the customer portfolio, market orientation, dynamic capacities and consumer behaviour in this type of markets. This line corresponds to the following research teams and groups: COST Action CA 15130, SEJ 140; SEJ 6672; PO6-SEJ-01975; SEJ 5801; SEJ 494, SEJ 7042, among others. This line consists of twelve researchers (ten national and two foreign). All the researchers in the line have six-year research periods. In recent years, the ten lecturers at the University of Seville have presented more than fifteen Doctoral theses for reading and have ten more in the pipeline (a ratio of more than 1.8 theses per lecturer).

This line consists of twelve researchers (nine national and three foreign). The majority of the researchers in this line have six-year research periods. The other researchers’ curricula are more than sufficient to recognise their research capacity. In recent years, the nine lecturers at the University of Seville have presented more than ten Doctoral theses for reading and have a further eleven in the pipeline (a ratio of more than 1.5 theses per lecturer).
