Title: The orbitofrontal cortex, cognitive maps, and schemas

Activity: Conference from the Psychology PhD

Speaker: Prof. Geoffrey Schoenbaum, M.D., Ph.D. He is the director and distinguished researcher at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA, Baltimore, MA). His laboratory has focused on how the orbitofrontal cortex collaborates with other brain areas to fine-tune normal adaptive behavior and learning in models of addiction and aging, both in normal mice and rats. His editorial experience was as behavioral neuroscience section editor for Neuroscience from 2007 to 2012. He has also been an editor for the Journal of Neuroscience from 2012 to 2018 and for eLIFE in neuroscience since 2017. He is currently editor-in-chief at Behavioral Neuroscience.
