Nikolett Arató, Ph.D.
She is an assistant professor at Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary). As a lecturer she mainly teaches courses on school psychology, intervention and prevention in schools, and school psychodiagnostics. As a postdoctoral researcher, her research focuses on cyber psychology, mainly her research investigates cyberbullying, the contextual and individual factors influencing bystanders. Moreover, her other research project concentrates on psychological and Internet-related factors influencing online risk and problem behaviours such as sexting, problematic internet use, and online violence. Besides research, she also works as a school psychologist and develops prevention
programs against cyberbullying targeting school-aged children. At the International Observatory of School Climate and Violence Prevention she is a member of the Executive Committee and co-leads the Special Interest Group called Understandings and Measurement Practice: School Climate, Convivencia, and Violence Prevention.
