Izabela Zych

Izabela Zych, Ph.D.

She is Associate Professor in Psychology in the University of Córdoba (Spain). She is a Visiting Scholar in the Institute of Criminology, Cambridge University and a Visiting Fellow in Wolfson College, Cambridge University. She is a member of LAECOVI research team at the University of Cordoba and an affiliated member of Violence Research Centre, University of Cambridge. Her main research interest focuses on prevention of problem behaviours in young people, including bullying and cyberbullying, with particular attention to personal and contextual risk and protective factors. She has participated in and led several research projects, including a major project granted by the National Spanish Research Programme and a project granted by Public Safety Canada, both focused on cyberbullying and cyberbehaviour. She is currently a director of four major research projects focused on problem behaviours online and offline (including bullying, cyberbullying, cyberhate, substance use, radicalisation, and dating violence). She has been an invited speaker in international conferences across the world and published dozens of journal articles related to bullying, cyberbullying and related topics in high impact journals. Her post graduate and undergraduate teaching and Ph.D. supervision are mostly related to youth violence. She is a consultant of Cambridge Assessment in relation to positive school climate promotion.
