Requirements to be a Tutor and/or Thesis Supervisor
PhD Tutor: to be appointed tutor, one must be an active professor of the Universidad de Sevilla with accredited research experience and a participant in the PhD program.
Thesis Supervisor: the appointment as thesis supervisor may be may by any Spanish or foreign doctor with accredited research experience, regardless of the university, center, or institution in which he/she renders his/her services.
Accredited research activity shall be understood as having at least one six-year research period recognized or equivalent scientific production.
The thesis may be co-supervised by two doctors, subject to authorization from the academic committee of the PhD program. Exceptionally, when programs are developed in national or international collaboration or when there are academic or interdisciplinary thematic reasons, three co-supervisors may be appointed, requiring authorization from the Executive Committee of EIDUS, upon a favorable report from the academic committee.
