The objective is to determine whether there is a significant correlation between public investment in the cultural sector and economic growth, as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The methodology combines a documentary analysis with a quantitative approach based on an annual series of cultural investment and GDP obtained from official sources, deflated to ensure real comparability. Descriptive statistics, trend analysis, and Pearson, Spearman, and Kendall correlation tests were applied. The results show a non-linear evolution of cultural investment, characterized by an initial growth phase between 2009 and 2013, followed by a period of deceleration and contraction between 2015 and 2020, and a notable recovery starting in 2021, influenced by changes in National Development Plans and the COVID-19 crisis. The applied correlation tests reveal a positive relationship between the two variables, though with varying degrees of intensity and robustness. This suggests that cultural investment exhibits a procyclical behavior, adjusting to macroeconomic conditions and the availability of fiscal resources, rather than acting as an autonomous determinant of economic growth. Departing from a conceptualisation of culture centred on individual agency-rather than the heritage-based approach predominant in the Agenda-it examines the framework's four thematic dimensions (Environment & Resilience, Prosperity & Livelihoods, Knowledge & Skills, and Inclusion & Participation) through an integrated theoretical lens combining institutional economics, innovation policy, creative society theory, and a philosophical account of culture as temporal, world-making agency. Drawing on the case study methodology of Yin (2018), the article analyses the international pilot implementation in Portugal and the city of Elvas (2021-2022), with comparative references to Romania. Results show that the framework is methodologically viable in diverse territorial and governance contexts, strengthens inter-institutional coordination and cultural data systems, and generates policy-relevant evidence for integrating culture into SDG monitoring, innovation ecosystems, and territorial cohesion strategies. The article concludes with policy recommendations for post-2030 frameworks and identifies future research lines on digital cultural production, creative labour equity, and temporal measurement of cultural agency. In this context, this study aims to analyse museum sustainability from a systemic perspective and to promote the Huella M model as an analytical framework for the sustainable management of exhibition institutions. The research employs a conceptual and analytical methodology, grounded on a critical review of the literature on heritage management and cultural policies, as well as the systematization of dimensions and indicators that structure the Huella M model. The results demonstrate that the coordinated articulation of the environmental, communicational, cultural, economic, and social dimensions enables the identification of significant interdependencies among institutional practices, governance processes, community relations, and communication strategies, offering a more comprehensive understanding of museums' viability and public value. As its main contribution, the study presents Huella M as a conceptual and operational tool that facilitates diagnosis, strategic planning, and informed decision-making, based on verifiable, transversal criteria, thereby contributing to the development of museum management models oriented towards sustainability from a holistic perspective. It is a review of a special issue of the journal Ekonomiaz. This issue is dedicated to the researcher Victoria Ateca, who devoted her research to the Economics of Culture across various fields. Her colleagues and friends, Juan Prieto and Arantza Ugidos, coordinated the issue. The result is a collection of articles by specialists in the Economics of Culture, as well as colleagues and friends, presenting a diversity of perspectives and methodologies. The articles cover topics ranging from classic issues such as cultural participation to the evaluation of cultural policies and aspects related to different audiences. An article is also included that examines the labor market from the supply side, analyzing aspects of quality of life and well-being of workers in the cultural sector. The resulting issue is a valuable reference point for current research in the Economics of Culture. The way these tensions are managed determines their viability in the creative market. This study examines the competitive positioning of creative organizations - emerging from strategic choices - as a compromise between creativity and business. We conducted an instrumental multiple-case study of 11 Canadian advertising agencies and 35 semi-structured interviews. To map their competitive positions, we employed multiple correspondence analysis. Findings suggest that agencies where creative workers are responsible for the entire creative process, rather than limited to production tasks, achieve a stronger competitive position in the creative market. This research contributes to advancing knowledge in the field of creative organization management by exploring the strategies that enable organizations to navigate the tension between creative work and business imperatives. This research provides actionable insights for creative organizations seeking to enhance their strategic positioning. Using a sample of 1,093 members from brotherhoods in Málaga and Seville, the research evaluates the intensity of municipal, Andalusian, Spanish, and European identities; the perceived importance of cofradías' symbolic elements; and the influence of age, gender, and participation frequency on these dynamics. Findings reveal particularly strong municipal and Andalusian identities, especially among younger participants, while Spanish and European identities increase with age. Women show higher levels of identification with Andalusia and Europe. Moreover, cofrade marketing through symbols, colours, iconography, and institutional communication emerges as a key factor in reinforcing territorial identity. The study concludes that brotherhoods act as active agents of cultural place-making, integrating tradition, emotion, and contemporary communication strategies.
