ANA PAULA VIANA CAETANO

Associate Professor of the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon. She has a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences – a specialty of Teacher Training. She currently coordinates the Curriculum and Teacher Training Research group, as well as the Doctorate in Education, specialty of Teacher Training and Supervision and the Master’s Degree in Education and Training, specializing in Social and Cultural Development (both in coordination with other colleagues) .

Investigates topics related to Teacher Training (especially professional development, ethical training and dilemmas of teachers) to Education and Citizenship (such as intercultural and community education and mediation, cyberbullying, conflict mediation and school violence), and Pedagogy in Higher Education (in relation to inclusion, emotional education, ethics and artistic education), privileging the perspective of complexity and qualitative methodologies, among which research-action.

ANA SOFIA PINHO

Ana Sofía Pinho is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon. Her research interests are multilingual and intercultural education, university-school partnerships, professional teacher development and the professional learning communities. She is a member of UIDEF (Unidade de Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Educação e Formação) and collaborator in CIDTFF (Research Center ‘Didática e Tecnologia na Formação de Formadores’). Since 2008, she has a Ph.D. in Didactics of Languages, focusing on Teacher Training, by the University of Aveiro, and was a postdoctoral fellow in those same areas.

CAROLINA CARVALHO

Assistant professor at the Institute of Education, in the University of Lisbon, with a degree in Educational Psychology and a Doctorate in Education. The interests in the field of research are focused on the areas of learning and development, teacher training in school-family relations and education for participatory citizenship. He has several publications and participates in national and international research projects with funding.

MARIA ALEXANDRA RAMOS

Since 2014: Technician at the Advisory and Secretarial Office at Instituto de Educação, Universidade de Lisboa (IE-ULisboa)

Main activities:

  • to support the governing bodies of IE in carrying out their activities, and produce and organize decision-support information;
  • to ensure support in the development of IE scientific activity, including research projects and other common scientific activities;
  • to ensure support in the organization of processes regarding communication of applications, registration, operation, accreditation, evaluation of subjects and graduate, post-graduate and continuing training courses, and in student and teacher mobility;
  • to disclose information relevant to the institution, both internally and externally and by other means deemed suitable.

CELIA FIGUEIRAS

I am the coordinator of a psycho-pedagogical student support office. I have a background in clinical psychology and education. My research is focused on the impact of extracurricular activities on the well-being of college students. The models used to understand and promote the welfare of students are based on voluntary practice, the resources and demands of the organization, emotional intelligence and socio-emotional skills. I develop a work related to a complete practice of psychological support to the students of the university.

LUIS TINOCO

Luís Tinoca is Associate Professor at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon, with experience in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as active researcher in the areas of teacher education, competence-based curriculum design, innovative learning environments and Higher Education Pedagogy. He is a member of the Education Research and Development Unit, collaborator of the Distance Education Laboratory and member of the special interest group on teacher education of the European Association for Research in Learning and Training. He received his PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004.
