ZLD Proof of Concept

The Proof of concept of Zero Liquid Discharge applicable to seawater desalination by means of brine concentration powered by the exhaust gases of the SmGT has been completed. Below it is can be seen how the evaporated brine flows upward from the Zero Liquid Discharge when the microturbine exhaust gases are introduced into the bulk.

When operating, supported by a thermographic camera, it can be observed that the operating temperature of the ZLD are 70ºC as indicated aswell by the thermocouples installed in the ZLD system.
