The main goal of the Equality committee is to encourage the gender equality in mathematical research and to promote the visibility of women in all academic levels. In particular, the Equality committee works in the following aspects:
• Ensure that the entity complies with the principle of equal treatment and opportunities by gender and culture.
• The promotion of balanced representation of both genders in all organs and positions of responsibility in the iMat unit.
• Support all committees of the unit in fomenting that a gender equality perspective is maintained in their activities (seminars, workshops, outreach activities…).
• Promoting the visibility of the scientific women in the University sector and also in the college level to encourage the mathematical vocation in girls.
• To join local and external gender equality initiatives.
