Segmentation of images of clinical essays of stem cell colonies by spatial analysis techniques

Abstract:

The objective of the project was the implementation and optimization of a stem cell colony assay image analysis method that improves the existing proprietary software to be able to perform automatic colony segmentation and counting. For this aim, an implementation was carried out using a plugin for the FIJI tool of a segmentation method based on the Moran index. Previously, no spatial statistical index had been used for this purpose.
