El proyecto CIU3A, cofinanciado en un 75% por el Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER), Programa de Cooperación Interreg V-A España – Portugal (POCTEP) 2014-2020, tuvo la oportunidad de participar en la conferencia internacional ECSA59.

La Universidad de Algarve participó con 3 artículos cuya presentación fue todo un éxito: uno de ellos ganó un premio (Mención honorífica) a la mejor presentación de un estudiante.
