Presentation

Early Childhood Education and Information Technology and Communication (ICT) are increasingly arising as urgent concerns in today’s society. The future of Early Childhood Education is experiencing major changes as to how it is understood and adopted, where today, ICT is considered to be learning tools, inclusion, and participation.
The Teaching Research Group -TRG- has been concerned about this subject for many years, and their national and international publications are proof of this. As this is not their only concern, they wanted to go a step further to try to work together towards quality and improvement in teaching the youngest ages.
This research requires the involvement of researchers, instructors, teachers, parents, associations, publishers, software developers, NGOs, etc. We thought that the best way to work together is in the CITEI’16 Conference (Congreso Internacional de Innovación y Tecnología Educativa en Educación Infantil) (International Conference on Innovation and Technology in Early Childhood Education) to learn about and make our evidence, innovations, and research on Technologies in Early Childhood Education known.
The Conference aims to unify these efforts and make proposals that bring ideas addressing the concerns of all. Aimed at both prevention, security, and good use, as well as the exchange of experiences, innovations, and research.
Our main objective is to discuss the proper use of technologies within and outside the classroom, we want to promote national and international analytical forums to generate discussion and debate on strategies, methodologies, resources, standards, competencies, and indicators, ultimately creating future lines of research to tell us where we should go.
Children naturally adopt the presence of technology in society; they live with it and embrace it for everyday use without any difficulty. They spend long, uninterrupted periods with their computer, tablet, TV, cell phone among other technologies at home, compared with at school. The society in which we find ourselves determines how we face the world, therefore, to teach in the 21st century society, instructors trained in the 21st century are needed.
