The regulations for Doctoral Studies at the University of Seville establish that the designation as doctoral thesis director may fall to any doctor Spanish or foreign, with accredited research experience, regardless of the university, center or institution where they provide their services. Accredited research activity will be understood as having at least a recognized six-year term, or equivalent scientific production.
The research activity of the proposed directors who do not have a recognized six-year term will be evaluated by the Academic Commission of the Program in accordance with the evaluation criteria published by the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI), in relation to the scientific field to which the line of research in which the doctoral thesis is presented belongs. These criteria will be applied to a selection of five publications, and two more substitutes submitted by the applicant. To do this, the following template of the proposed director's research activity must be included in the admission application. . - CV evaluation criteria for admission to the Doctorate Program.
The Academic Commission of this Doctoral Program will evaluate the scientific production in the section of Cod. 009: CV and NOT in the section of Cod. 008: COURSES, STAYS AND SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION. In the latter, only courses and stays will be valued. Therefore, it is in the CV section where they must include information related to scientific publications or presentations at conferences.
When evaluating the CV, the Academic Committee will prioritize in the evaluations: scientific publications (with a maximum) and the completion of one of the Official US Master's Degrees related to the Program (Physiology and Neuroscience, Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology, Biomedical Research or Medical Research: clinical and experimental). The evaluations will also take into account other aspects such as whether the proposed directors are professors of the program, the presentation of communications at conferences, and a B2 or higher level of English.
