Egnacia Florentina, aquí está enterrada. Que te sea la tierra ligera. Lo mismo que para el padre debió hacer la hija, prematuramente para la hija lo hizo el padre.

Comentary
The first sequence does not correspond to any known scheme: quod…filia,
lwllwwwlwl~; followed by a completely correct iambic senarius: id…pater,
wl|ll|l/l|wl|ll|w~. There is alliteration in l. 3, facere, l. 4, filia and filiae, and l. 5
fecit, and a parallelism between the two lines with the chiastic repetition of filia / filiae
and pater/parenti, and of facere (debuit) /fecit in polyptoton. All of this is characteristic
of all the CLE that focus on the topos of the reversal of the natural order when children
die before their parents, cf. CLE 164 – 167, 170-172 and in this corpus: CIL II2/7, 199;
Martín Valls 1971, 425-429, 1-3; and Gómez Pallarès PEPC, L1.
