CATEPS: Centro Andalucía Tech of the University of Seville

Thanks to the fundings obtained through FEDER program, the University of Seville has deployed in its Centro Andalucía Tech Escuela Politécnica Superior (CATEPS) a unique infrastructure called “CATEPS Microgrid Living-Lab for the use of Artificial Intelligence for renewable energies integration and flexibility management”.

This unique research infrastructure have medium-scale generation and storage, structured in a modular way (that can be used to emulate Distributed Energy Resources) throughout its facilities, and with the capacity to manage its flexible resources, to research and development of technologies and strategies based on AI, for the management and optimization of its energy resources, building a “living lab” that provides the added value of experimentation and validation.
