11:30 Practical Foundations on Deep Learning.

Abstract

The workshop is designed to introduce the fundamental concepts of deep learning in a gradual and accessible manner, culminating in the construction of a comprehensive example to illustrate these concepts. Mathematical formulations are avoided wherever possible to ensure that the topics discussed are readily comprehensible.

By the end of the course, participants will have developed a basic understanding of deep learning architectures. 

Biography

Javier M. Mora-Merchán completed his doctorate in the Industrial Computing program at the University of Seville, where he currently works as a teacher. Additionally, he has a Master’s degree in automation (from the US), a degree in Industrial Electronics (from the University of León) and a Technical Engineering in Electricity (US).

He is a member of the TIC-150 research group, where he specializes in signal analysis and intelligent data processing techniques.

Abstract

The workshop is designed to introduce the basic of sustainability and circular economy related to battery sector.  By using different circular economy tools, companies can evaluate their business.  In the workshop, participants are practicing basic understanding of circular economy.

Biography

Eeva Aarnio is completed her Master of Science degree at Technical University of Tampere, in Finland.  After graduating, she has worked in global business mainly in paper processing sector during around twenty years.  

She is currently working at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science as a senior lecturer.  Her interest areas include supply chain management, sourcing, sustainability, and circular economy.

She is continuing circular economy studies at Turku Master school, in Finland.
