  1. I am a student who wants to conduct a thesis within the framework of the Doctoral Program in Physical Sciences and Technologies. Who appoints my supervisor and tutor?: The application for belonging to the Program must be endorsed by a professor from the Program, who will act as tutor and propose one or two doctors as thesis supervisors. The Academic Committee will verify the capacity of said doctor(s) to supervise the thesis and will formally appoint them as such. Finally, the student, tutor, supervisor(s), and EIDUS' director will sign a thesis supervision commitment document.
  2. I am a student with doubts about the Program that this page does not solve: Ask your tutor.
  3. I am a student/tutor/supervisor with questions regarding an administrative process, RAPI, or the virtual teaching environment: Contact the Program's secretary, Lola Palma, via email: ffisaog@us.es
  4. I am a tutor with doubts regarding an academic procedure: Contact the Program's Coordinator, Prof. Antonio Prados Montaño, prados@us.es
  5. I am a student/tutor/supervisor with doubts regarding the validation of a certain activity within the Program: Contact the member of the Academic Committee appointed to follow up on the student.
  6. I am a student/tutor/supervisor who foresees difficulties in completing the Doctoral Program: Contact the member of the Academic Committee appointed to follow up on the student.
  7. I am a student/tutor/supervisor with doubts regarding the pending activities to complete the Doctoral Program: Access RAPI and read the last evaluation report.
  8. I am a student/tutor/supervisor with a complaint/suggestion/comment regarding the Program: Report said complaint/suggestion/comment through email: sugerenciascytf@us.es.
  9. I am a student and I need a certificate of activities for a funding agency: Contact the tutor first to inform him/her about it. Then, if required, contact the Program's Coordinator, Prof. Prof. Antonio Prados Montaño, prados@us.es, with the tutor and supervisor(s) in CC. The Coordinator may require further information from the Academic Commission, tutor, and supervisors. The Coordinator will only certify activities that have been uploaded to RAPI and approved by the tutor and supervisor/s. The certificate may take a few days due to these procedures, so please request it several days in advance of the deadline.
  10. I am a student who has completed all the required activities within the Doctoral Program. Do I need to do anything else to be able to defend my thesis?: In addition to renewing the enrolment as a doctoral student at the University of Seville, it is mandatory to attend the Doctoral Days at least once a year. It is advisable to upload any extra activity carried out to RAPI, as well as to update the research plan annually, since the Academic Committee will evaluate the students with that periodicity.
  11. I am a student who wants to change the supervisor(s), the tutor, or the title of the thesis, or wants to request an extension of the thesis period, or change the dedication from part-time to full-time or vice versa: Find the corresponding documents on the website of EIDUS, https://doctorado.us.es/secretaria/impresos, in PDF format for electronic signature. Collect the necessary signatures (other than that of the Coordinator) and send the documentation to the Program's Coordinator, Prof. Antonio Prados Montaño, prados@us.es. The Coordinator may require further information before returning the corresponding documents signed. Finally, send said documents with all the signatures to EIDUS through the official register of the University of Seville.
  12. I am a thesis supervisor who wants to propose an evaluation committee: All members of thesis evaluation committees must have an officially recognized six-year research term ("sexenio"), or equivalent merits. If there are any doubts about this, ask the Program's Coordinator, Prof. Antonio Prados Montaño, prados@us.es. Fill out and sign the corresponding forms available on the EIDUS website, https://doctorado.us.es/secretaria/impresos, and send them to the Coordinator, who may require further information before returning them signed. Finally, send the documents with all the signatures to EIDUS through the official register of the University of Seville.
  13. I am a student and I need an official certificate: Keep in mind that the entity to which all doctoral students belong, that is, the "Faculty" of doctoral students, is EIDUS.
